With out-half Tony Ward again left out of the Irish team Dermot Morgan turns to song to express the dismay of rugby supporters.

In advance of the Ireland-Scotland match at Lansdowne Road, many rugby fans were surprised to learn that fly-half Tony Ward has been left out of the team again.  

Dermot Morgan, in character as a dyed-in-the-wool rugby club member, is firmly on the side of the Irish rugby team selectors.  He gives his own opinions, in song, about the situation,

You can pick Joe with the broken toe 
But don't pick Wardy. 
You can pick Dean or any human being 
But don't pick Wardy. 
Wardy always went too far 
He became a superstar...
