Around fifty thousand jazz enthusiasts flock to Cork for the tenth annual Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
The big new attraction has been the taking of jazz on the water.
The Jazz Festival takes to the water on board the 'Celtic Pride' which is being used as a floating hotel to cope with the demand for accommodation throughout the festival. The vessel is also offering jazz cruises at £8 a head and is proving very popular with visitors. It is estimated that £26 million will be generated for the city throughout the festival.
Jazz groups from all around the world are in Cork for the festival which is now the third most popular jazz festival worldwide.
