The people of Cork are dancing in the street to the sounds of an RTÉ Radio 2 beat.
DJ Dave Fanning on stage introduces 'Sally MacLennane' by The Pogues as "The best dance song of the eighties so far".
The Beat On The Street is this years part of the Cork City Carnival, bringing people and colour to the streets.
Twenty thousand young people packed the city's Coal Quay to see it and be part of it.
RTÉ's Dave Fanning, Mark Cagney, and Gerry Ryan teamed up with Tadhg Dolan of Cork Local Radio to entertain the Corkonians.
The Beat On The Street spent the summer in various towns around the country, but Cork people claim that this one is the best.
