U2 play Croke Park, Dublin for the first time to over 50,000 fans as part of The Unforgettable Fire tour.

Supporting acts at the concert were In Tua Nua, The Alarm, Squeeze and REM

For U2, the Dublin band with four albums in the American charts, it's a hero's welcome home.

Brian O'Connell met some of the fans before U2 took to the stage, with one fan saying,

They deserve to be on 'Top of the Pops' every night.
