Supporters show their appreciation for the Irish soccer squad and sing Happy Birthday to Jason McAteer.

The Phoenix Park Dublin is the venue for a homecoming concert in honour of the Republic of Ireland soccer  squad.

A crowd of well over one hundred thousand warmed hand to welcome their heroes home.

Fans were treated to a free concert from Westlife as they waited for the team to arrive. But even Westlife could not match the hysteria  when the Irish squad appeared on stage. Irish Manager Mick McCarthy addressed the fans and thanked them for their continued support.

We were told to expect a reception but honestly we never ever expected anything like this. You are just amazing.

The crowd later sang 'Happy Birthday' to Jason McAteer.
