Final preparations are being made for the wedding of musician Paul McCartney, and his bride, Heather Mills at the Castle Leslie Estate in Glaslough, County Monaghan.
Caterers and florists are preparing for the arrival of 300 guests who will be attending the wedding of Paul MacCartney and Heather Mills in the grounds of the Castle Leslie Estate. The former Beatle and his bride will be married in the private Saint Salvator's Church, secluded in the 1,000-acre grounds of the Estate.
News of the wedding has caused great excitement in Glaslough and local resident Paddy Connelly acknowledges such a high-profile wedding in the area
is a massive boost, it’s unbelievable.
On the eve of their nuptials, Paul and Heather ventured outside the heavily guarded Castle gates to meet with the media and local well-wishers. They accepted flowers and a family crest marking the McCartney connection with that particular part of Monaghan.
Paul and Heather joke with those present about how Sir John Leslie, known locally as Uncle Jack, let it slip that their wedding would be taking place in the grounds of his Estate but
it’s a secret.
Paul tells the crowd that the wedding is for family and friends.
We’re just going to have a bit of fun.
