The new world snooker champion Ken Doherty arrives home to Dublin to a warm welcome following his victory in Sheffield.

Flying home to Ireland on board an Aer Lingus flight, Ken Doherty speaks to RTÉ News about his victory and how it hasn't yet sunk in. At Dublin airport Ken is greeted by his mother Rose, other family members, friends, fans and media eager to catch a glimpse of the new world champion. Thousands of people lined the streets of Dublin along his journey home to Ranelagh on board an open top bus, stopping off along the way for a civic reception at the Mansion House. 

Hundreds packed into Jason's Snooker Hall to see Doherty return to his alma mater.
