Are these young people the next generation of Irish politicians?

Research suggests that less than one per cent of young people are actively involved in politics. While less than half of those aged between 18 and 24 said they would vote in the next election. With this in mind, the 'Late Late Show' invited six young people who are members of political parties to give a picture of where Ireland might be after the next election.

The panel up of Aine Morris from Labour, Enda Crowley of the Green Party, Cathal Lee of Fianna Fáil, Bob Quinn of the Progressive Democrats, Clodagh Power of Fine Gael and Ciaran Doherty of Sinn Féin face questions from host Pat Kenny.

This edition of The Late Late Show was broadcast 19 April 2002.
