A new Sunday newspaper called 'The Title' will be on the news stands on 28 July 1996.

'The Title' will be primarily devoted the sports coverage. The paper will face stiff competition from an already crowded Sunday newspaper market. To add to this challenge, the circulation of Sunday papers has been falling in recent years. Reporter Colm Connolly asks how a predominantly sports paper will get a share of the market.

Cathal Dervan, Editor and Liam Hayes, Managing Director are both optimistic about the plans for the newspaper and are confident it will be successful.

An RTÉ News report by Colm Connolly broadcast on 3 July 1996.

'The Title' later became the 'Ireland on Sunday' and ceased production in 2006.
