A report by Pat Butler on a 'meitheal' in Clondalkin in West Dublin where those taking part built a hooker and used the process to improve their Irish.

Mícheál Ó Hifearnaín, Mícheál Ó Srutháin, Stiofán Ó Laoire and Brian Ó Gáibhín talk to Pat Butler about building the boat, and the community effort involved in the small gaeltacht area of West Dublin. The men working on the project come from a variety of backgrounds but none of them were boat builders.

The report also shows the volunteers involved playing music relaxing back at Áras Chrónáin in Clondalkin.

This episode of the Irish language series 'Tintean' was broadcast on 21 March 1996.
