No razzmatazz, no competitions, no awards and a tweak to the festival name. Is this the beginning of the end for Cork's film Festival?

Despite a screening of the Neil Jordan film ‘Angel’ with the cast in attendance there is a feeling that the Cork Film Festival has lost its glamour.

Festival director Robin O’Sullivan talks about the challenges to putting on the event but feels that there is definitely a future for the festival but it will need the support of the people of Cork.

Tiernan McBride talks about some of the films on show this week including a screening of the RTÉ drama series ‘The Year of the French’ and his hopes for the Irish Film Theatre to have a screen in Cork.
