Described as having a horse like head with the long body of an eel, it is believed the Lough Fadda Monster has lived in Connemara, County Galway for centuries.

RTÉ reporter Cathal O’Shannon interviews eye-witnesses Una Moran and Georgina Carberry of Clifden County Galway about their encounter with Ireland's answer to the Loch Ness monster.

Georgina Carberry describes how during a fishing-trip on the Lough, a bluey-black, shark-like beast came alongside the boat she was in. The creature took fright and disappeared around a rock, went down and came up again a long distance away from the boat.
