Cider flavoured ice-lollies with an alcohol content of 0.1% are being introduced to the Irish market and plans are also afoot to produce a gin and tonic lolly.

John Hickey Marketing Director of Silver Pail Company explains why they have introduced cider ice pops to Ireland. The product has already been on sale for years in Britain. 

You'd have to eat about 4 million of them to get any kind of high.

Defending the product John Hickey argues that the product will help to create a dialogue about alcohol in Ireland.
