Irish fans are left disappointed after their team draw with Egypt.

The Republic of Ireland's second match at the 1990 World Cup was against Egypt at the La Favorita Stadium in Palermo, Sicily. A dull game ended in a draw with neither side able to score.

Colm Murray gets the reaction of some disappointed Republic of Ireland supporters, who claim that Egypt never wanted to play football. But would the result dampen the spirits of the Irish? According to one fan,

They'll be back, the bodhráns will be going, and they'll be singing, they will, and they will give it to the Dutch.

The Irish team were due to face the Netherlands in their next match four days later.
