Happy Birthday, Paul Durcan! The poet was born in Dublin on 16 October 1944 and turns 70 today. He has published 22 collections of poetry, the most recent of which, 'Praise in Which I Live and Move and Have My Being', came out in 2012. He won the Whitbread Prize for Poetry in 1990 for his book 'Daddy, Daddy'.
Durcan talks to Shay Healy about the importance of women in his life in this 'Nighthawks' interview about his book 'Crazy About Women', broadcast on 26 November 1991.
