Dublin and Kerry draw after frantic last 12 minutes sees the Kingdom go from being eight points up to a point behind before snatching a draw.
Known more as a home for hurling Semple Stadium Thurles was the venue for the 2001 All Ireland Football quarter final between reigning champions Kerry and Dublin. Kerry dominated for much of the game leading by 8 points with 12 minutes to play but then Dublin scored 2- 03 without reply to lead by a point. With time almost up Maurice Fitzgerald kicked an incredible point from a sideline ball to tie up the game again.
Shown here is Darren Homan's goal that gave Dublin a 1 point lead and then that Fitzgerald wonder score. With the game going one way then the other emotions of elation and deflation are felt by both sets of supporters.
