In 1987, punk musician Caff (Declan Caffrey) featured in a 'Borderline' piece on make-up for punks.
In this clip from the programme Caff shows how to get his spiky hairstyle using soap and how he applies his eyeliner and lipstick.
On his attitude to wearing make-up Caff says,
If you want to do it, do it. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from doing it. Just be yourself be what you want to be.
Caff was a member of bands Paranoid Visions and Dreamcreeper. He now plays with Padlock.
'Borderline' was a Saturday morning teenage programme that covered music, fashion and film. It was first broadcast on 11 October 1986 and was presented by Aonghus McAnally, Ronan Johnston and Majella Nolan.
