1. Who will receive a letter from Revenue about paying LPT for 2016?

If you paid your 2015 LPT in full in a single payment (by single debit authority, debit card, credit card, cash, cheque or postal order) or made regular cash payments, you will have received a letter from Revenue asking you to select a payment method for 2016.

The letter includes your Property ID, Property PIN, the amount due for 2016 and confirms whether your local authority reduced the LPT rate for 2016 (see Question 3 for further details).

If you are the liable person for the property on 1 November 2015 (liability date for 2016) you are liable to pay LPT for 2016, unless an exemption can be claimed.

Further information is available on the Revenue website or by calling the LPT helpline (1890 200 255) (ROI Only) or +353 1 7023049 (From outside the ROI) the Citizens Information Service (0761 07 4000)
