Ryan claims top prize in Millstreet
17 Aug 2014 18:06
Despite a strong British presence in the top ten at the Millstreet Grand Prix, it was Ireland's Thomas Ryan who eventually took the €16,500 prize when he outpaced Ellen Whitaker and Le Beau by a comfortable three seconds in the final round.
The 29 year-old Thurles-born rider was piloting the bay stallion Quite Zero in the timed round, a horse that had also featured with him at Aachen last month.
Co Down's Dermott Lennon was eighth in the Grand Prix today with his long-time companion, the Irish Sport Horse Loughview Lou, while Deane Rogan and Falco van Spieveld finished in tenth.
