Blunt sorry for You're Beautiful
21 Oct 2014 12:12
James Blunt says he's sorry for "force-feeding" his global hit You're Beautiful down people's throats and has also denied that he is "an insanely serious person."
-
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, the former captain in the British Army said: "[It] was force-fed down people's throats and it became annoying, and then people start to associate the artist with the same word."
-
Somewhat of a stalker's anthem, You're Beautiful featured on the singer's 2004 debut album Back To Bedlam and reached Number One in Ireland, the UK and US. 40-year-old Blunt also thinks the song's massive success hurt his reputation and credibility and portrayed him as an "insanely serious person". "I have a couple of over-emotional miserable songs that I'm known for," Blunt said. "But I think it's turned that corner now."
