Storyland's Farr actor wins IAWTV

Shaun Blaney, who starred in RTÉ's Storyland web series, Farr, has won the Best Actor in a Drama Series award at the IAWTVA's.

The International Academy of Web Television Awards, which took place in Las Vegas on Wednesday April 15, celebrate the best in digital entertainment.

Belfast based drama Farr focuses on a police officer, Detective Michael Gallagher, played by Blaney, whose personal life and career come crashing down around him as he investigates the city’s most dangerous crime family.

Speaking to RTÉ TEN about the IAWTV Awards Blaney said: "The ceremony was a fantastic experience, lots of fun... full of incredible pioneers of online, television and film content, very talented people. Many of the shows honoured I would watch myself online so to be in the room was fantastic.
