Connolly fails in ban appeal
04 Sep 2015 09:09
Dublin star forward Diarmuid Connolly looks set to miss Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final replay against Mayo after losing a second appeal against his one-match ban.

-
The GAA's Central Appeals Committee held up the ban after a long meeting at Croke Park that finished in the early hours of this morning.
-
Connolly, who saw red for striking Mayo’s Lee Keegan late on in the draw at GAA HQ on Sunday, has been a regular visitors to Jones’ Road in recent days.
-
Less than 24 hours ago, the 28-year-old failed in his bid to have the Central Hearings Committee rescind his suspension.
-
Connolly could yet opt to exhaust the GAA’s disciplinary procedures and present his case to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
-
Four years ago, the St Vincent's clubman was dismissed at the semi-final stage in the Dubs' win over Donegal, but was subsequently cleared to play in the All-Ireland final as Dublin went on to record a dramatic one-point victory over Kerry.
-
Croke Park is once again a complete sell-out for the game at 5pm on Saturday.
