A slow moving depression of 987 hPa lies between Iceland and Ireland and maintains an unstable southwesterly airflow over the country. Showery troughs, embedded in the flow, are moving eastwards across the country.

Southwest force 5 to 7 and gusty, decreasing force 4 to 6 overnight. Winds further decreasing force 3 to 5 later in the morning and during the afternoon.
