METEOROLOGICAL SITUATION AT 2100:
A depression of 995 hPa to the east of Scotland is generating a fresh to strong westerly airflow over Ireland. As the depression tracks eastwards the flow will veer northwesterly and the embedded front will move eastwards too.

West to northwest force 5 to 6 and gusty. Decreasing through Wednesday and becoming mainly northwest force 3 to 4 by the evening.

Forecast for coasts from Malin Head to Carnsore Pt to Valentia and the Irish Sea

WIND:
Mainly westerly, but veering northwesterly early tonight, force 5 to 7 and gusty. Decreasing to force 3 to 5 by Wednesday evening.

Moderate to poor overnight, increasing to good later on Wednesday.Warning of heavy swell: Nil

Occasional showers, with mist and drizzle patches. Becoming mainly fair on Wednesday.

Outlook for a further 24 hours until 2400 Thursday 09 July 2015:
Light variable breezes will develop on Wednesday night, with moderate southerly winds developing on Thursday. Mainly fair at first, but patches of rain, drizzle and mist will form along Atlantic coasts on Thursday morning.
