Managing Director of Radio - Clare Duignan
Clare joined RTÉ after graduating from UCD in History and Politics. Initially working with RTÉ Radio she progressed through Radio and Television Production and Management with periods as Head of Features Television, Head of Independent Production, and Head of Production, Television.
Clare became Director of Programmes, Television in 2003, assuming responsibility for all of RTÉ Television's home-produced programmes, both in-house and commissioned. In this role, she delivered a significant increase in home produced programming in peak time, and reversed falling share. In February 2009, she was appointed Managing Director, Radio.
Clare is a Board Member of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, Business to Arts, and the National Film School Advisory Board. She previously served on The Arts Council, the Advisory Council of the Abbey Theatre, and the Governing Body of Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. A native of Dublin, she is married with 3 children and lives in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
