Alan Smith,
- Worked in building industry, served time as roof tiler and slater as well as trainee landscape gardener
- Following redundancy in 2007 has worked in various short term jobs
- Involved with Business in the Community (involved at getting long term unemployed back to work) including some public speaking on their behalf
- Loves creative writing and has been writing since very young including poems and short stories and has just started with ideas for first novel
- Has done several courses including computers, creative writing and photography
- Enjoys watching most sports
- Lives in Dublin and is a single father with one daughter
