The funeral of homeless man Ned Delahunty took place yesterday. For about 20 years, Ned used a sheltered alcove on Oliver Bond Street as a place to sleep. He spent most of his days picking up litter, placing it in bins, or sitting for hours at a time in the local churches. We had mentioned Ned on our show when a listener contacted us, worried as she no longer saw him on her way to work. We then found out that Ned had sadly passed away in January, aged 83. Ryan chatted to Sr. Jane Forde who knew Ned from John’s Lane church and she stayed with him during his final days in hospital.
Ryan read an email from a listener whose partner doesn't drive - it's literally driving her mad having to pick him up and bring him everywhere. Ryan chatted to listeners who have never driven before and asks them why...
Ryan spoke to Patricia whose parents split up when she was only a baby. She has never had a relationship with either her mum or dad - their decision to not be a part of her life has really affected her.
Liza and Louise shared their cringey fashion faux-pas, inspired by their idols at the time - Bros and The Smiths!
Our resident sexologist Emily Power-Smith joined Ryan in studio to discuss maintaining a physical relationship alongside an illness.
