We heard yesterday that Aslan’s upcoming gig in The Olympia Theatre on Saint Patrick’s Day was cancelled due to illness, lead singer Christy Dignam has been diagnosed with Cancer. Aslan bandmate Billy McGuinness spoke to Ryan about Christy undergoing treatment.
Fr Michael Collins spoke to Ryan on the line from Rome about the 115 cardinals eligible to vote will remain sequestered in the Vatican until they elect the church's 266th pontiff. When they agree on a pope, white smoke will rise from the chimney and the bells of St Peter's basilica will peal. Informed speculation suggests that the vote may have placed Italian Cardinal Angelo Scola in pole position with Brazilian Odilo Scherer in second place.
