The funeral of homeless man Ned Delahunty took place yesterday. For about 20 years, Ned used a sheltered alcove on Oliver Bond Street as a place to sleep. He spent most of his days picking up litter, placing it in bins, or sitting for hours at a time in the local churches. We had mentioned Ned on our show when a listener contacted us, worried as she no longer saw him on her way to work. We then found out that Ned had sadly passed away in January, aged 83.
