The extraordinary voice of King Krule has been the focus of much well deserved attention over the last couple of years. Real name Archy Marshall, released the excellent '6 Feet Beneath The Moon' late last year. He turns 20 in August, so this is just the beginning for King Krule. Hear highlights from his show in Stockholm with Dan on The Alternative.

Recorded by Swedish Radio P3 at Debaser Hornstulls Strand, Stockholm on April 4, 2014.

Is there anyone more prolific than Jack White these days? Between The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, a busy solo career, and numerous other ventures, he’s mastered juggling. And still coming out with really strong material. ‘Lazaretto’ doesn’t hold too many surprises, but it doesn’t need to. His second solo album contains such a solid collection of tunes that should translate extremely well live; he’ll be back in Ireland on June 26th.

You could say that ‘In Flight’ has been three years in the making. It’s the debut album from Daithi, and it’s hugely impressive. He’s developed his sound over the years, and he’s at a point in his career where his music can translate just about anywhere. It’s inventive, it’s crammed with potential Pop anthems, and it’s finally with us!

After giving us two excellent singles (’Pools’ and ‘Gooey’), Oxford’s Glass Animals bring us their debut album. Cool is a word that keeps popping up when they’re mentioned these days. And cool they might be, but they can also put together some strong tunes, as ‘Zaba’ illustrates. You get the impression that this album will continue to grow and grow on you.

The Lapse were an American act that came together in 1997. They comprised of Chris Leo (ex-Native nod and brother of Ted Leo) and Toko Yasuda (Enon, ex-Blonde Redhead). The two formed The Lapse after the breakup of their previous band, The Van Pelt. The Lapse had Leo on guitar and Yasuda on bass with both handling vocals.

Their existence was brief, but they did manage to release two albums; 1998's 'Betrayal!', and the hugely underrated 'Heaven Ain't Happenin', which appeared in 2000. The Lapse formally disbanded in 2001. Dan features  'Heaven Ain't Happenin' as this week's Buried Treasure.
