Their name maybe somewhat out of season at the moment, but with their debut album ‘Cursing The Sea’, September Girls have proven that they can put together potent tunes.

Featuring former members of The Chalets, Talula Does The Hula and Neosupervital, they describe themselves as; “radiant noise pop of the finest order, guitars distorted, verses simple and catchy, drums energetic, it sure is sweet on the ears.”

It's album number two from The Minutes, and it's bigger and meaner than anything that they've done. 'Live Well, Change Often' was produced by GGGarth Richardson, who's resume includes Rage Against The Machine, Biffy Clyro, The Jesus Lizard, and Kerbdog. As you may have guessed, the combination of these two works brilliantly.

‘Nabuma Rubbeband’ finds Little Dragon bouncing back in our lives. You can’t help but hear the sound of a band that have grown comfortable with their audience and status. Jumping from groove-infused pop tunes to free-spirited experimentation; ‘Nabuma Rubbeband’ will serve Little Dragon well.

For bands that reach the size of The Black Keys, there's a lot of 'I like your old stuff better than your new stuff' muttering. It's inevitable that 'Turn Blue' will be met by this to a certain extent. It’s not as immediate as its predecessor ‘El Camino’, but in fairness little is! What ‘Turn Blue’ is, is an album that gradually reveals itself to you... give it some time.

Marxman existed between 1989 and 1996. Made up by Hollis Byrne, Stephen Brown, DJ K One, and Oisin Lunny; they earned all sorts of interesteing descriptions, none more so that 'the Anglo-Irish answer to Public Enemy.'

Their debut album '33 Revolutions Per Minute' appeared in 1993, and saw them tour with U2, and Depeche Mode. The album was very much overlooked, which was a shame as it was one of the most pregressive Hip Hop albums of the time.
