Junior Doctors Vote to go on Strike

A strike committee will meet tomorrow to draw up a plan of action and will sit down with the HSE on Wednesday to draw up contingency plans.  The doctors say they will provide emergency cover. Junior doctors are angry at the failure to cut their working hours which can see them on duty for between 70 and 100 hours a week and enduring shifts of 36 hours at a time.

Eric Young, Assistant Director, Industrial Relations with the IMO, gives an update.
