    Pedigree Adoption Drive

Below are their details of the two dogs we are featuring on today's show, if you are interested in adopting one of them. If you are unable to adopt but would love to help the thousands of abandonned dogs in Ireland every year, you can become a fan of the Pedigree Ireland Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/pedigreeireland. And dog lovers across the country can also show their support by texting the word DOG to 50300 which will donate €2 to the ISPCA

Today we are looking for someone for Jessie

    Age/DOB: Born 2010

    Breed: Staffordshire bull terrier

Personality: Jessie is an adorable people pleaser. She adores one on one attention and cuddles. She would suit a home where her adopter either works from home of she can go with them everywhere, she doesn’t suit a home where she will be left alone. She is vaccinated and will soon be neutered and micro chipped prior to adoption. She is a very sweet girl but is a restricted breed and her adopter must have experience with these breeds and good knowledge of the legislation in keeping them.

Background: Jessie was surrendered to our Inspectorate as she was not receiving the proper care needed.

And we are also looking for someone for Frankie

    Age/DOB: Born 1st of Dec 2009

    Breed: Staffie x

Personality: Frankie is a lovable dote of a dog. He is so affectionate & friendly, he really wants an active family to play with & love him dearly. He is neutered, vaccinated & micro chipped. He has also been treated for parasites. He is strong on the lead but is currently receiving lead & house training. He will make a wonderful companion to the right family.

Background: Frankie was rescued from unsuitable conditions & brought to the centre for re homing by our Inspector.

    Women in Politics

The recent debate on the abortion bill highlighted the fact that there are very few women in politics in Ireland. But why are we in a position where there is such an imbalance between men and women in Irish politics? Colm spoke to Mary O'Rourke and TD Mary Mitchell O'Connor as well as some up and coming female politicians.

    Cycle Against Suicide

Manus is on the Cycle Aginst Suicide - but this is definitely not a daunting task for him, as he has already cycled over 30,000 miles and travelled the world doing it
