Breakfast with Hector
Hector was refreshed after the Bank Holiday weekend and looking forward to the short four day week ahead. On this morning's show, Hector established his very own taxi firm as he attempted to combat the difficulties caused by the Dublin Bus strike.
Don't Panic saw a Meath man challenge the Cork champ. Philip from Meath attempted to overturn Liam from Cork but to no avail. Liam has continued his reign and has won himself tickets to Paramore in The 02 on 2nd September as well as a coveted BWH mug.
Who's Checking In? is a new game featuring a well known person checking in to Hector's hotel. Elaine Neary from Dublin correctly answered with Joe Duffy this morning and has won herself a two nights stay with B&B for a family of 4 at the Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, Co. Mayo with thanks to the Dalata Hotel Group. She, along with the rest of this weeks winners, will be entered into a draw for the overall prize on Friday. The overall prize consists of a 2 night family break in the luxurious 4 star Whites of Wexford with dinner on one evening, half day spa experience for the adults, family passes to local attractions and much more.
Hector was inundated with texts for taxis this morning. The lucky winners of a paid taxis courtesy of Red Daddy Cabs were Lorna Quinn, Hazel Keely, and Lina Barak.
Rewind featured 2007 this morning and Hector gave away tickets to Paramore as well as a BWH mug to Carole Green in Athlone who remembered the year from the clue Hector read out highlighting Galway's contaminated water in that year.
