Breakfast with Hector
It's Friday morning and we've a Bank Holiday ahead! On this morning's show Hector had spotted some of the fashion attending the Galway Races yesterday. Photos in the papers showed teenagers running for shelter in yesterday's rain in massively high wedge platforms. Hector appealed to the "wedgers" of the country to text in with the height of their shoes!
Don't Panic had another round of questions and another champion. Cork man, Liam O'Sullivan challenged Dublin's Eoghan Logan this morning. Cork was victorious and Liam won two tickets to Paramore in The 02 on 2nd September as well as a coveted BWH mug.
After 8 this morning, Hector gave away another voucher for 2 to Mondello Park for a Porsche Supercar Driving Experience on Neigh the lyrics to Anthony Grendon from Kildare. The overall draw then took place. The prize is a trip to Paris to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe for 2 people including return flights, 3 nights accomodation, €1,000 spending money, entrance to the race meeting on 2 days and a €500 voucher to spend in any ROI Ladbrokes shop. Thursday's winner, Colin Mullane from Cork, was pulled out of the hat and will be jetting off in October to Paris.
Hector's Rewind had some very cheesey tunes from 1994 this morning. Deirdre Gannon from Westmeath identified it correctly thanks to the music and will be heading for a weekend away in Westport's Knockranny House Hotel for a 2 night break for 2 with breakfast both mornings and dinner one evening.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and we will be back Tuesday morning between 7-10am. KHL.
