Breakfast with Hector
On this morning’s show Hector gave away another four star hotel stay at the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris. Steve Breen from Dublin competed against Rob Clancy from Tipperary in an attempt to defend his title. Unfortunately, Steve stumbled at the first fence allowing Rob to take the lead and be crowned the new ‘Don’t Panic’ champion. Another chance to win tomorrow morning.
All this week Hector has teamed up with Londis giving away some fantastic prizes. Siobhan Donnellan from Mountshannon in Co. Clare told a great story of her locality being the last in Ireland to receive the electric telephone. Between calling the operator and the 2fm Roadcaster making the trip for the occasion back in the 80’s, Siobhan had us all enthralled. As a daily winner, Siobhan has won €400 worth of Londis vouchers and will be entered into Friday’s draw. The overall draw will take place on Friday with a prize of a 3 night family stay in the 5 star Fota Island resort including accommodation in a luxury lodge, B&B, passes to the wildlife park and €2,500 spending money.
What’s the most random thing you’ve brought back from holidays? Hector religiously brings back litre bottles of shower gel every time he’s away. Alan brought back numerous tubes of chaffing cream which he swears is the best thing he’s ever used. Paul in Tipperary managed to bring a lawn mower home from Canada on a trip a few years ago. And Regina in Castleblaney brings back pizza from New York every trip!
Rewind featured the year 1993. Deirdre Lincoln was today’s winner and she is heading off to the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin with three friends for an overnight stay.
Join us tomorrow from 7 – 10am.
