Breakfast with Hector
Good morning! Hector spoke with Duana this morning on ‘How’s The Country’ about her preparations and expectations for her Gathering. Duana is involved in a Gathering of the Duffy clan. The event is taking place from the 21st to 30th June 2013. Recently all the Clare’s tried to break the record for most people of the same name in Co. Clare but didn’t get enough numbers. But Duana seems confident that people will register on www.duffysallover.com and show up to the Gathering and go on to break the record.
€94m has been won by an Irish person. It was suspected SuperValu in Sallins sold the ticket but today the suspicions lie in Dublin. But what if you were the winner and had to mind the winning Euromillions ticket over night? Where would you hide it? Would you let it out of your sight? Would you even be able to sleep? Hector received some fantastic suggestions on hiding places and strategies to ensure the safe keeping of a very valuable ticket.
Dubs v ROC has a fantastic prize this morning from Hairybaby.com, a selection of retro TV tshirts including the DEN and a Bosco Mug. Andy McGirl from Dublin was defending his title this morning and came up against Co. Down man, Mark Adams. Mark ran away with the questions and managed to banish the Dub from the competition and secure his place as Dubs v ROC champion. Mark will be looking for another Dub opponent in the morning. Text your name and location to 51552 after 7am.

Nicole was very Cranky this morning as her mum woke up her from “candy floss land” and whipped off the duvet to get her out of the bed this morning! Nicole was not impressed with mum, Yvonne, and so she sang the Cranky Car song to her mum in the hope it won’t happen again tomorrow for the last day of school!
We will be live tomorrow morning from the Carlton Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe between 7-9am. Please come along, meet the team, and join us for a hot cup on Breakfast with Hector.
