Breakfast with Hector
Wednesday, 12th June, and Hector spoke to Paul O’Neill on ‘How’s The Country’. Paul is part of the organising team for The Golfing Gathering of the Golfing Insomniacs of Ireland. Westport Golf Club will be host to this unusual event that takes place around the longest day of the year. Paul and co. will be teeing off at 4am on June 29th at Westport Golf Club and looking out onto Clew Bay and upon Croagh Patrick. This event is open to everyone and you are invited to register on The Gathering website, by Wednesday 26th June 2013.
Marie Fogarty from Tipperary defended her title this morning on Dubs v ROC. Marie was challenged by Dub, Fiona Brophy. Fiona started off confidently but the Tipp woman fought back hard. Marie kept her title and won herself a Clarion Hotel break, along with a copy of Now That’s What I Call 30 Years, the soundtrack to the Great Gatsby and 4 tickets to Disney on Ice’s new show, “Dare To Dream”.
The organisers of The People of The Year Awards are searching for The Dad of The Year 2013. Closing date for entries is this Friday 14th June 2013. If you know a Dad and want to nominate him, he can be of any age, any walk of life and from any part of Ireland, the one criteria is that he must have done something really extraordinary as a father to be considered. Nominations can be submitted via www.peopleoftheyear.com.
All this week BWH has teamed up with Destination Westport to celebrate the ‘Westport Get Out There Adventure Festival from 8th – 15th June, Westport Blue Grass Festival 14th – 16th June, and Westport Festival of Music and Food 29th – 30th June. Brid Danaher from Limerick wont this morning’s competition with a prize of a two night stay for two in the four star Knockranny House Hotel and Spa, breakfast each morning, dinner on one evening in La Fougére Restaurant, and a pampering spa treatment at Spa Salveo.
Cranky Car joined not-so-Cranky Caoimhe on her way to work this morning. Caoimhe is the leading lady in the latest love-story to hit Breakfast with Hector. Caoimhe identified her Army Man this morning by a photo of him and one of his ‘sexy sparkling white car’. The love story is only in its infancy but the BWH team has been doing its research, background checks, and Cupid work to establish that Caoimhe is single. Tune in tomorrow to hear from Niall, the Army Man.
