Breakfast with Hector
It’s another beautiful bright and sunny June summer’s day this Thursday morning. On ‘How’s The Country’ this morning, Hector discussed a new scent called “First Response – Boston” which was made in honour of the Boston Firefighters who constantly work to try and protect others. The perfume is that of a combination of spices and flowers overlaid with white smoke and rubber. Hector spoke with Sadie in The Burren Perfumery about capturing scents. What smell would you love to bottle?
In Dubs v ROC the Dub, Dave McGrath, remains undefeated. Proud Tipperay man, Larry Keegan, challenged the Dub this morning but alas, Dave was quick with his answers. Dave will be looking for another Rest Of the Country opponent tomorrow morning. This morning Dave won himself a top of the range Smoothie Maker all thanks to www.bestinseason.ie celebrating National Strawberry Week.
Canon and Currys PC World have teamed up with BWH all this week for our daily competition. Each day, one winner wins a Canon PowerShot SX270 super zoom camera & a Canon PIXMA MG5350 printer. This morning’s winner was Michelle Willis from Dublin. Michelle, along with the rest of the daily qualifiers, is entered into Friday’s overall draw where one luck person will win a family break to a Fota Island Lodge at Fota Island, the award winning Canon EOS 700D DSLR camera and accessories, a Selphy CP900 wireless portable photo printer, access to Fota Wildlife Park, and a Canon photographer to come along to the wildlife park and train the winner to get the most out of their prize.
The National Birth Notices featuring newborn babies, their weight, date of birth, parent’s names and parish of the baby had lots of new names this morning.
Cranky Car saw Jessica in Limerick very unhappy with having to go into work on such a beautiful day. Hector asked her all about her job including her bosses name to see if there might be any way that ELFC in Shannon Co. Clare would give Jessica a half day in order to get out and enjoy the good weather. Tune into Breakfast with Hector from 7am for updates on the work/sun situation!
