Breakfast with Hector
On ‘How’s The Country’ this Thursday morning, Hector spoke to Allan Dixon (Daxon). Daxon is currently in the top three to win the Best Job in the World competition. He’s packing his bags already in anticipation of winning the job to work in the Outback in Australia for 6 months along with €80,000. The competition is being run by Tourism Australia in order to promote the country and what is has to offer.
Dubs v ROC saw the tables turn this morning as Dublin’s long standing champion met her match in Roscommon’s Damien Flaherty. Jenny Davis held one of the longest standing reigns in Dubs v ROC history and has won numerous wonderful prizes along the way. Damien will be back in the morning to defend his new found title and Hector will be looking for another worthy Dublin opponent.
Keep Her Fit is just a week away. Our nationwide aerobicathon will take place on Thursday 23rd May with headquarters for the event situated in the University of Limerick Sports Arena. Hundreds of people have registered already at email@example.com and we’re looking forward to welcoming and working out with everyone on the day. Hector received a great email with accompanying photograph from Kitty in Co. Clare. Kitty had a chat with Hector this morning about the photo which shows our instructor, Richie, teaching his aerobics class outdoors in Limerick in 1998, 15 years ago. You can see the photo on our Facebook page.
Keelings fruit and veg have given us a delicious fruit hamper to give away every day this week. All you have to do is tune in and identify the missing fruit in our ‘Missing Fruit’ song of the day. Each daily winner will also be entered into a draw on Friday to win €5,000 to spend on a garden makeover. Today’s winner was Orla Markey in Kildare who correctly answered the missing fruit as peaches. Orla will be entered into the draw tomorrow along with the rest of the weekly winners.
Rachel in Limerick is still holding out hope for the retrieval of her deleted Beyonce video. Rachel rang Hector yesterday distraught having deleted a once in a life time video of Beyonce holding her hand and singing to her personally. The Red Army came out in full force with advice and support for Rachel and she was overwhelmed with the response. She has still to recover the file but Rachel and the BWH team are hopeful that a tech savvy forensic recovery specialist will be able to help her. We would like to hear from anyone who attended the Beyonce concert on Sunday 12th May 2013 who has footage of Rachel’s moment via our Facebook page.
Dad, Mick, rang Hector this morning giving out about Sean’s grumpy head in the car. Mick and 14 year old Sean were on the school run from Newbridge to Naas. Unfortunately for Mick, Hector ended up taking Sean’s side and had him sing the Cranky Car song to his Dad! You just never know who the real Cranky head is.
Hector will be back with the BWH team at 7am in the morning to wake up the nation.
