Breakfast with Hector
It’s Eurovision season! On How’s Your Country this morning Hector had a chat with Paul G Sheridan who is currently over in Sweden ahead of the competition. The Eurovision opening ceremony took off in style last night with each country taking to the red carpet outside Malmo’s stunning Opera House. Ryan Dolan, Colm Farrell, Nicky Bailey, Alison Vard Miller, Leanne Moore and Alan McGrath are representing Ireland and hoping to make it into the top ten in tonight’s semi-final in order to compete in the grand final on Saturday.
Jenny Davis is still champion on Dubs v ROC! Jenny took on Cork opponent, Andrew Meaney, this morning and came out on top once again. This morning’s prize was tickets to The National in the 02 and a Hector Mug.
Hector and all the BWH team are gearing up for our Aerobicathon. Hector spoke to Leitrim based Aerobics Instructor, Michelle Fanning, about her preparations for May 23rd. She and her many classes are Keeping Her Fit and looking forward to next Thursday.
Our friends at Keelings have given us a delicious fresh fruit hamper, tickets to Bloom and a hotel stay to give away every day this week. On Friday, all the winner’s will be put into a draw with a chance to win an overall prize of a €5,000 garden make over. Today’s hamper winner was Sandra Jordan. Sandra will be entered in the draw on Friday.
Munster Rugby prop, Dave Kilcoyne, joined Hector on the phone this morning. Dave will be joining the BWH team and hundreds of others across the nation on Thursday 23rd May for our national Aerobicathon in the University of Limerick Sports Arena. Cranky Car took a little twist today. Hector spoke with 3rd class teacher, Jackie McNally, of Ballapousta National School, Smarmore, Drogheda, Co. Louth. Her class have been learning about the zoo and rhino’s lately and entered a long list of possible names for our competition in connection with Dublin Zoo. Entries are still being taken of possible names for the new white rhino born two weeks ago. The competition is open to 5-16 year olds until tonight (Tuesday) at midnight.
